Hometown: Roanoke

Family: Laura and I were married in June of 2000.  Laura teaches at Central Academy Middle School in Botetourt County. Our son, Tanner is a junior at Southeastern University. He's studying business and marketing.   

Education: Southeastern University, Double major in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Theology

Background: Out of college I was a social worker and worked with children in foster care.  In 1998 I started with State Farm.   I've been an agent in Botetourt County since 1999

My Passion at Orchard Hills is making sure everyone who walks through our doors feels welcome.  I remember, as a child, watching my dad greet everyone.  It seemed like he talked and talked and talked.....  My family says the same about me.   

Something many people may not know about me: I love watching high school sports!

Favorite Illustration of Biblical Truth: The truth that Christ loved ME first!  He allows all to come as they are.  I mention my father again as he and his siblings were sent to an orphanage as young children.  Christ loved them first.  He didn't say, "clean the kids up, make sure they have nice clothes on and their hair is combed".  What other king loves first? What other king allows you to come to Him in whatever broken down state you may find yourself?  It still amazes me.
