STEPHEN MINISTRY

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the structure from the Stephen Ministry Organization. To learn more about  Stephen Ministry you can visit the Stephen Ministry homepage. 

The basic premise is that Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower folks within the church (not full time Ministers) — called Stephen Ministers — to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting. You do not have to be in full time ministry, but you will go through a required training process in order to be able to serve.
