Stephanie's bio
Elementary Children's Director
Hometown: Hackettstown, NJ
Family: My husband Matthew and I met while working in the mailroom at Roanoke College. We were married soon after we graduated. We have three young daughters, Elliana, Adelyn, and Myra Jane who keep us on our toes. We also have an energetic dog Zoey to complete the chaos.
Education: I received a Bachelor’s in English from Roanoke College with a minor in Psychology. I then obtained my Masters of Education from Virginia Tech in Counselor Education.
Background: I worked as a high school counselor for five years. During that time, I also coached Cross Country and Track. I have always had a passion for working with kids. Throughout high school, college, and graduate school I worked in various child care capacities and have always loved working with families, children, and youth.
Passion at Orchard Hills Church: I love the holistic approach of investing not just in people but in entire families from the very youngest. I also love the opportunities to walk out the great commission by serving our local community through the Orchard Hills Achievement Center and abroad through our connections in Rwanda.
Something not many people know about me: My dad was 100% Greek and that side of my family is 100% Greek. I love that part of my heritage and most of all, Greek food!
Favorite Illustration of a Biblical truth: I think my favorite illustration of Biblical truth is marriage. It shows how we were created for relationships and God gave us this specific powerful relationship to exemplify Christ’s relationship with the church.
