WORSHIP PASTOR / Video and Media Director
Hometown: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Family: Michaela and I were married in September of 2017. We met in college while I was at Liberty, and she was at VMI. She is a bridge inspection engineer with Clark Nexsen. Michaela and I have one son, Samuel, who was born in early 2021.
Education: Ronald W. Reagan High School (2009), Associates in Arts in History Forsyth Technical Community College (2014), B.S. Music and Worship: Pastoral Leadership Liberty University (2017).
Background: I worked at Old Town Baptist Church as their Youth Worship Leader for 10 years. After that, I worked one year at VMI as their Chapel Worship Leader. In May of 2017, I became the Worship Intern at Orchard Hills Church, and then in August of 2017, I became the Full-Time Worship Pastor. In 2018, I also assumed the responsibility of leading the Life Group ministry here at Orchard Hills until 2022. In 2022, I assumed the responsibilities of the Video and Media Director.
My Passion at Orchard Hills: To make sure that on a weekly basis that the Gospel is shared, and the name of Jesus is proclaimed as Lord.
Something not many people would know about me: I love NASCAR, and have since I was 6 years old.
Favorite Illustration of Biblical Truth: I love the story of King David. His life from start to finish is a representation of what following God looks like. He was a bold kid and stood before giants, and yet, he was a musician and could calm the terrorizing spirit that was attacking King Saul. He had lapses in judgment, but at the end of the day, he was still called “a man after God’s own heart.”
